Our veterinarians at our pet hospital provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists.
We use the latest in advanced veterinary diagnostic tools to ensure that pets receive the highest quality of veterinary care. Electrocardiography is one such tool our veterinarians utilize to monitor a pet’s heart rhythm and electrical impulses.
If your pet is experiencing coughing, labored breathing, lethargy or weakness, it is possible that a heart condition could be the underlying cause. Electrocardiography, which is often used in conjunction with digital X-ray and veterinary ultrasound, can help our veterinarians determine whether this is the case.
This procedure is non-invasive and your pet will usually not need to be sedated. Your pet will be placed on his or her side and electrodes will be attached to specific regions along your pet’s body.
If your pet does have an irregular heart rhythm or another cardiac condition, our highly-trained veterinarians will work with you to ensure that your pet receives the best in veterinary cardiology care. We are experienced at treating a variety of pet heart conditions and we also have a network of specialists with whom we consult.
If you have any questions or concerns, one of our veterinarians would be happy to speak with you. Please call us at (850) 932-6116.
